Island Herbs is an ohana of passionate individuals committed to vegan, organic farming and gardening. Clarence Baber, "Cab" to everyone who knows him, started farming and gardening in the Islands in 1980. Cab co-founded the Hawaii Organic Farmers Association (HOFA), launched the first community supported agriculture (CSA) project on the Island, and owned and operated the largest vegan, organic commercial tomato business in the State. In 1989 Cab founded Island Herbs Hawaii with the mission to,
1.) grow super nutritious food using sustainable organic and vegan methods to assist people with healing and maintaining optimal health,
2.) help the Island to become self-sufficient in food production while giving back to the land by increasing soil health and fertility.
Our products, EM Bokashi and Island Herbs' proprietary Super Soil, fertilizers, and mineral mix assist us in our mission. EM technologies are used in 180 countries around the world and Island Herbs is certified by EM Hawaii to manufacture and distribute throughout the Islands.
